Costa Rica’s North Pacific coast is the diving world’s newest discovery.  Few places in the world have waters with such varied and plentiful marine life.  Combine this with Ocotal Resort’s luxurious facilities, new dive boats, equipment and experienced dive masters…the result is the world’s most exciting new diving destination.

Most dives take place around pinnacle rock formations at 40 to 80 feet.  Some divers seize the opportunity to arrange for special trips to the Bat or Catalina islands, 21 and 14 miles from the resort.  At any time you may find yourself swimming through schools of small fish, manta rays or bull sharks.

Divers at the resort never have to carry equipment and the staff even handles the fresh water rinsing of dive equipment at day’s end.  There are never more than 10 divers per boat and two dive masters lead all dives, regardless of group size.

Day 1:  Fly into San Jose, Costa Rica.  Upon landing you will be met at the airport by a CRV representative who will present you with all relevant information and vouchers and answer any questions you may have about your vacation.  Take a quick private transfer to your accommodations, Hotel Alta.  This picturesque Spanish Colonial-style, boutique hotel is just a few minutes drive from dining, shopping and sites in the San Jose region.  Spend the afternoon or evening exploring the city or simply relaxing at your hotel.

Day 2:  Transfer to San Jose Airport, fly to Liberia.  Upon landing you will be transferred to Ocotal Resort.  Stay at Ocotal Resort (double room, includes daily breakfast and airport transfers).  This small luxurious resort hideaway allows visitors to enjoy the marvels of the Pacific Ocean in year-round summer weather.  The beach of Ocotal is calm, sandy and ideal for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing.  Your package includes four days of scuba diving, so get some rest!

Day 3:  Scuba Diving!  Explore the underside of the Pacific Ocean.  Your package includes tanks, boat, guides, beverages and snacks on board, and weights.  Stay at Ocotal Resort Resort.

Day 4:  Enjoy another exciting day of Scuba Diving.  Stay at Ocotal Resort.

Day 5:  Take a break from the deep.  Relax and unwind…the day is yours!  Perhaps take a day trip to the nearby fishing town of Playas del Coco for some shopping and sight seeing, or relax and work on your tan poolside at the resort.  Stay at Ocotal Resort.

Day 6:  Return to the ocean for more undersea exploration.  Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for exotic species of fish, angelic manta rays and sea turtles.  Stay at Ocotal Resort.

Day 7:  One last day of diving!  Take advantage of this last opportunity to escape deep into the peace and tranquility of the ocean one more time.

Day 8:  Time to return to reality.  Take a transport to the Liberia Airport for your domestic flight.  Fly to San Jose and await your International flight back home.
