My name is Dr. Helene Wirt, born in Austria and since 12 years living in Costa Rica. I speak German, English and Spanish and I am the owner of the Hotel & Spa CASAELENA.

CASAELENA is the perfect place for a beauty retreat offering peace and solitude. The sounds of the nature soothe the mind and body. The flora and fauna and the magnificent vistas are a feast for the eyes. We feel privileged to serve you. We welcome you with love and joy in this unique environment that must be experienced.

Our treatments are first quality and done with knowledge, care and love. Advices regarding your beauty and health is available from our experts who have a vast spectrum of knowledge.

The place of CASAELENA is quiet and peaceful in the midst of pure nature with a comfortable house in European style situated on an estate of nineteen acres. The many breathtaking views include the Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains.

HOTEL & SPA CASAELENA is located half way between the Capital San José and the beaches of Puntarenas - near the town of San Ramón de Alajuela.

We have accommodations for up to 25 guests. Only a few steps away you can swim in our 79 x 20 feet indoor pool and relax in the hot tub or steam room. On our hotel land you can walk our nature trails and experience the tranquillity amidst all the natural sounds while you breath in the pure mountain air of the eternal spring-like climate.

CASAELENA is situated on the tenth degree of latitude and 3.280 feet above sea level. This provides one of the best climates in the world with all year long average temperature of 77 o F ( 25 o C ) - a perfect place to promote or to maintain your health. Each part of the day has its special breezes and temperature, with night time bringing star studded skies and a valley full of lights. The air is purified on our land by hundreds of trees, exotic plants, green spaces and surrounding forests full of birds and butterflies.

The peaceful and meditative atmosphere relaxes the mind and body as gently as colors of flowers, the colors of the sky and the green trees. Enjoy our pure mountain spring water for drinking and bathing.

We offer vegetarian meals (fish and chicken upon request), cook with organically grown food and we honor your requests for special diets.

Our beauty week is a combination of massages, beauty treatments, relaxation, aroma therapy, gentle morning exercises, meditation walks, Yoga and meditation, swimming, enjoying the hot tub and steam room, horseback riding or guided hiking. A dance group from the University of San Ramón will perform some of the typical dances of Costa Rica and on your last evening in CASAELENA we will prepare a candle light dinner with live music.

We start each morning with gentle exercises before breakfast. During the day you can choose your daily massage, beauty treatment or you can enjoy sun bathing, swimming, hot tub and steam room. For the more energetic of you, we also offer horseback riding and various levels of vigorous hiking over our softy undulating hills. Your explorations will be rewarded with ever-changing magnificent vistas.

We serve the lunch on the terrace.

In the evening we come together for dinner and enjoyable conversation sharing our special moments of the day. After dinner you can participate on Yoga and Meditation.

Optional offers are: Chiropractic, Karate and Tai-ch. Because of our central location you can plan day trips to volcanoes, national parks, white sandy beaches, coffee farms or take a wonderful boat trip in the Golf of Nicoya, white water rafting and much more. Or you leave for shopping with visiting a waterfall and a butterfly farm. You can also enjoy a half day trip for hiking in the rainforest, for a tour with a 4-cicle (quad), for Bungee jumping, for canopy tours, for bird watching and much more.

We help planning and organizing your trip and you will be picked up from the hotel.

The price for one week for one person is $ 1,100.-

This price includes a beautiful room with double occupancy, private bathroom, three meals a day, fruit juices, full use of the indoor Olympic pool with lap lanes, hot tub and steam room, transportation from and to the airport, four massages, four beauty treatments of your choice (excluding permanent lines and Botox), aroma therapy session with the group, gentle exercises, folkloric dance presentation, candle light dinner with live music, horseback riding (three hours) or hiking (three hours), three Yoga and meditation evenings and guided walks through our hotel land.

Your space will be reserved upon receipt of a 50% deposit in the amount of $ 550, which is 50% refundable up to 90 days prior to start date, and non-refundable after this date. The non-refundable balance is due 30 days prior to start date at the latest.
