traveled...
Day 1: Upon arrival at the San Jose
airport, you will be met by one of our representatives. Our rep
will explain your itinerary, answer questions and provide you a
packet with vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport
you will be transferred tot Hotel Grano de Oro. This 19th Century
Plantation turned- hotel occupies a quiet street in the nation’s
capital of San José, close to the vibrant city center, and numerous
restaurants, theatres and shops.
Day 2: El Encanto de Las Piedras Blancas. Walk through the
chain of mountains above the pre-Columbian settlement, learning
about local history, plants and geography. Then, visit a traditional
“payaso” or mask maker at his shop then witness the time-honoured
method of squeezing sugar cane and making “dulce”. Includes traditional
Tico lunch, guides and transportation.
Evening show and dinner. From folklore dancers to traditional folk
music, it’s a truly “Tico” evening of great food and “pura vida”.

Day 3: Transfer to Arenal. Stay at Arenal Paraiso. Relax
& enjoy the brand new pools & hot spring fed wet bar, and
the great views of the volcano. Choice of standard bungalows or
deluxe private bungalows with A/C. Includes full breakfast.
Day 4: Maleku Indigenous Culture Tour. Visit a Maleku reserve
and learn about this ancient culture. Includes bilingual guide,
transportation and lunch.
Day 5: Rain Forest River Float and Safari. Experience exotic
plant and wildlife floating down the White Rock River. Midway through
the adventure, visitors stop and have lunch at the home of Don Pedro,
a respected elder who has subsisted on his spot in the river for
some 80 years. Your snack will consist of various local dishes,
all of which are farmed, harvested and cooked there on the farm.

Day 6: Transfer to San Jose via Interbus. Café Britt Coffee
Tour (approx. 2 hours). where you will learn about Costa Rica's
4th biggest industry: coffee. Includes transportation, a bilingual
guide, and lunch. Stay at Hotel Grano de Oro.
Day
7: Transfer to airport. Fly to Palma Sur. Stay at Aguila de
Osa Inn Spacious hardwood cabins, cathedral ceilings, Italian-tiled
bathrooms and spectacular Pacific views...native leather rockers
on roomy front porches. Travel to the deserted Cańo
Island where ancient spheres dot the landscape - an ancient mystery
from a people long disappeared.
Days 8 & 9: Relax at Aguila de Osa or enjoy some
of the optional area tours.
Day 10: Take a domestic flight to San Jose where you
will await your International flight home.
