This trip is a tale of juxtaposition.  Start out your vacation with some rugged adventure deep in the rainforest. Finish by rewarding yourself with the luxury and pampering of a luxury ocean view hotel.  This trip allows you to have the best of both of Costa Rica's tourism worlds...the rough, and the smooth.

Day 1: Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives. Our rep will explain your itinerary, answer questions and provide you a packet with vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport you will be transferred to Hotel Bougainvillea, a beautiful country inn with fabulous gardens and top notch hospitality.  The perfect place to overnight your first evening in Costa Rica.

Day 2: Transport to San Jose Airport for an exciting scenic flight to Quepos.  From there it's a short transfer to the remote Rafiki Safari Lodge.  This luxury tent camp is  nestled on 700 acres deep within the pristine Savegre River Valley. The South African inspired safari tents are situated on hardwood decks and provide you in intimate encounter with nature while enjoying the basic comforts of a hotel room.  Large open bathrooms with hot water are a fueled by the property's own water and heat systems.

Day 3:  Ready for excitement?  Go  whitewater rafting on the Naranjo River, a Class III/IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers.  The Naranjo drops from the mountains above Quepos, through a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level.  On the way you'l be passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations. The scenery is unforgettable.

Day 4:  Me Tarzan, you Jane.  Swing through the trees on the Canopy Tour. Climb high into the rainforest canopy and ride zip lines through the trees, rappel and hike through beautiful rainforest.  Includes lunch and bilingual certified guides.

Day 5:  Just when you were getting used to "rouging it" in the rainforest, it's time to hit the beach!  Transport to Manuel Antonio and stay at Tulemar Bungalows.  The ultimate in relaxed, tranquil settings, these individual bungalows are set on 33 acres of lush tropical forest.  The property boasts a secluded beach  2 miles of hiking trails past a crystalline waterfall to stunning lookout points. Manuel Antonio wildlife greets you at your door. Rate includes full breakfast and use of snorkeling and sea kayaking equipment.

Day 6:  This is your time to relax and soak up the sun!  Sea kayak around the bay or just chill out by the ocean view swimming pool. 

Day 7:  Take a Yacht Cruise.  This afternoon sailing adventure finds you aboard a classic yacht cruising down the scenic coast.  Pass by the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park and view the breathtaking sunset.  Along the way you may see dolphins and other sea creatures.

Day 8:  Transport to Quepos Airport for a domestic flight to San Jose where you'll await your flight home.
