Features: The Iguanazul is located in the northern province of Guanacaste, on the Nicoya Peninsula at Playa Junquillal. Just 35km south of Tamarindo, the hotel is set over a cliff right in front of the ocean. This is a serene place where you can enjoy white sand on a nearly deserted beach, world class surf breaks, great snorkeling, and spectacular sunsets.

All nearby beaches are pristine; you can walk virtually undisturbed for hours. The hotel has 24 rooms divided into 6 Spanish Colonial style buildings, each with 4 rooms per unit. Each of them feature two double beds and a spacious bathroom.

Review: Iguanazul is the ideal base for an adventurous and/or relaxing vacation. Close to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, canopy tours, a volcano, mud baths, waterfalls and lots of wildlife. Then you can come back to the "barefoot luxury" of the Iguanazul.

In addition to an excellent location and comfortable rooms, the property has a swimming pool, a gourmet restaurant, entertainment room (air conditioned room with DirecTV, pool table, ping pong), we also have a sand volleyball court. The restaurant is the most popular in the area and features a daily Happy Hour where locals and travelers get together to see the amazing sunsets and share their adventures.
